Beth Madden
Executive Vice President
Prior to her time at Certus Management Group, Beth Madden had been with International Medical Group since 1998. In her initial roles as Director and then Vice President of the Stop Loss Underwriting department, she provided underwriting oversight, actuarial and program management. She also served as the Chief Underwriting Officer with responsibility and oversight across the spectrum of International and Domestic products. Since working with Certus Management Group, she has helped the company transition to a Valenz Affinity Company.
While the largest part of Beth’s 24 years in the insurance industry was spent with IMG in various roles, she has also worked in the domestic fully insured space, underwriting multiple employer, association, and alternative risk and funding arrangements.
Beth holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and CEBS and GBA designations from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits, Wharton School of Business. She also holds a Life and Health Insurance License.
Greg Edwards
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Greg’s career in the insurance business has spanned over three decades and been dedicated to the stop loss insurance marketplace exclusively. Greg began in the underwriting department at the Brougher Agency and spent much of his career with the Brougher organization, ultimately VASA Brougher, as a Regional Vice President of Sales. Greg’s success during his 15 years led to the opportunity to become a member of the management team rejoining the Brougher family in forming the IMG subsidiary IMG-Stop Loss, now Certus Management Group, in 1998. Certus Management Group continues to be an innovator and leader providing stop loss protection to self-funded plans of all sizes, and recently in 2022, became a Valenz Affinity Company.
Greg attended Indiana University and is active in a number of industry organizations including HCAA, SIIA, and the Indianapolis Chapter of NAHU.
Eric Olson
Vice President Finance
Eric got his start in the insurance industry in 1983 working executive and professional roles (including CFO 10 years and CEO 4 years) in a multi-line insurance company group. His success there lead him to participate in the formation of Novia Underwriters, a stop-loss underwriting manager, and later Novia CareClinics, a manager of worksite medical services, where he worked as the CEO. In 2013, Novia CareClinics became part of QuadMed, a national scope clinic manager, where he continued in his new role as the VP of Operations. Eric then came to work with Certus Management Group in 2017 at the beginning of the company’s formation. His many years in stop loss, as well as his education and early professional career in tax and accounting have prepared him well for his current role as the Vice President Finance. In 2022, Eric helped transition Certus Management Group to a Valenz Affinity Company.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Indianapolis and received his Master of Science in Taxation (MST) from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
